1⁄2 cup liquid Castile soap
1⁄4 cup Aloe vera gel
1⁄4 cup chamomile floral water
2 tablespoons vegetable glycerin
1 tablespoon comfrey tincture
1 tablespoon rosemary tincture
1 tablespoon calendula tincture
1 tablespoon finely grated sea salt
1 tablespoon jojoba oil
1 tablespoon meadowfoam seed oil
1 teaspoon vitamin E oil
40 drops rosemary essential oil
20 drops spearmint essential oil


How to make the herbal shampoo 


Measure out all of the ingredients into a pourable bottle or a recycled shampoo bottle, and shake well to dissolve the salt. Store in the refrigerator and use within 2 weeks.

How To use

Shake the bottle well. Apply a small amount to wet hair and gently massage through the hair from the roots to the ends. Rinse thoroughly with warm water and repeat if desired.

This shampoo does not lather and sud as much as a conventional highsudsing shampoo. Follow with a conditioner or conditioning hair rinse.

Ingredient


  • 1⁄2 cup raw apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon ground burdock seed
  • 2 teaspoons freshly grated ginger
  • 1⁄2 cup liquid Castile soap
  • 2 tablespoons argan oil
  • 30 drops tea tree essential oil
  • 10 drops palmarosa essential oil
  • 10 drops clary sage essential oil
  • 5 drops peppermint essential oil


How to make
1. Add the raw apple cider vinegar, burdock seed, and grated ginger to a small sauce pot with a tight-fitting lid. 
2. Simmer on a very low heat for 1 hour. 
3. Remove from the heat and keep the lid on the sauce pot while the liquid cools to room temperature for about 1 hour. 
4. Strain the liquid from the spent herbs into a pourable bottle or recycled shampoo bottle. 
5. Add the liquid Castile soap, argan oil, and essential oils. Shake well.

How to use
Shake the bottle well. Apply a small amount to wet hair and gently massage through the hair from the roots to the ends. Leave on for 2 minutes. Rinse thoroughly with warm water and repeat if desired. 

This shampoo does not lather and sud as much as a conventional high-sudsing shampoo. Follow
with a conditioner or conditioning hair rinse.
