The importance of Water and Hydration for Coily and curly textured hair

Besthairtreatment - We all know the importance of Hydration, but there are a few things to keep in mind. Coily and curly textured hair has the tendency to become dryer more easily than most. It can often require more effort in order to keep our hair moisturized and prevent over drying and breakage. It’s no surprise that breakage hinders hair growth. However, hair problems and dry scalp are also attributed to heat and chemical treatments, so it is imperative that you know how to keep your hair well oiled and hydrated in order to prevent overdrying and breakage.

Water and Hydration Facts for healthy hair

An important key to healthy, beautiful, shiny and long hair is hydration. A Sufficient amount of water plays a major role in allowing the hair to grow long and fast. Dehydration can make you feel tired but it can also cause drying of your hair shaft and scalp and ultimately cause split ends and hair breakage. Your hair follicles require ample nutrients in order to produce healthy hair and water is an essential nutrient. By drinking water in the right quantity, you can supply nutrients to your scalp and promote rapid hair growth. 8 -12 glasses per day is the average.

A very important element of hydration is making sure to keep you hair and ends hydrated. The ONLY way to truly hydrate our hair is with water. It is very important that before applying your leave in conditioner or oils that you make sure that your hair is moisturized with water.

Hydrating your hair with water and following with an oil will help to lock in moisture throughout the day. Another way to retain your hair's moisture is to avoid washing your hair every day. Regardless of how gentle the shampoo is, the very act of washing the hair strips natural oils from your hair and can cause breakage and dryness. Many shampoos also include petroleum, sulfate, alcohol and mineral oil that are very drying to the hair.

How to Choosing and using different types of hair shampoo (What type of shampoo should i use?)

BestHairTreatment - Hair cleansers are an important step in maintaining clean, shiny hair. Cleansers work to remove dirt, oil, and product build-up. Gently cleansing the hair and scalp can turn limp, lifeless hair into squeaky-clean, shiny hair that is ready for styling. Contrary to popular belief, you do not need to wash your hair every day. Unless you have baby-fine hair and/or a very oily scalp, cleansing a few times a week is plenty. Cleansing your hair too frequently can result in split ends, a dry scalp, and unruly, parched hair.

how to choosing best type of hair shampoo

Liquid shampoos

These contain surfactants to remove oils, dirt, and odors from the scalp and hair. Natural shampoos do not usually lather and sud as much as conventional cleansers. Nevertheless, they cleanse incredibly well. Liquid shampoos are applied to wet hair and massaged through from the roots to the ends of the hair, and then rinsed with warm water. They can be used a few times a week.

Dry shampoos

These make brilliant “quick fixes” for dirty hair. Dry shampoos are waterless and contain dry ingredients such as cornstarch, arrowroot powder, clay, and even rice powder. A small amount is sprinkled over the scalp and either massaged into or combed through the hair to soak up oil, remove dirt, and even boost volume. Dry shampoos are regularly perfumed with aromatic essential oils to eliminate odors. They can be used daily.

Baking soda

The “no-shampoo” protocol has become pretty popular recently. Baking soda is used to cleanse and purify the hair, and is then followed with a vinegar-based herbal rinse to balance out the pH level. Baking soda mixed with water (usually in a 1:3 ratio) is gently massaged into the hair and onto the scalp, and then rinsed away with warm water. Since baking soda is very alkaline, this particular cleansing method should only be performed once or twice a week.

8 Tips and tricks for growing long and healthy hair

BestHairTreatment - On average, your hair can grow up to 6 inches every year. The secret to healthy, goodlooking hair is a combination of nourishing your body on the inside, while nurturing your hair on the outside. Follow the following tried-and-tested tips for beautiful hair.

how to growing healthy long hair with fast

1. Eat a healthy diet full of foods that contain omega-3 fatty acids, vitamin E, biotin, silica, zinc, antioxidants, protein, sulfur, iron, selenium, and folate. Consider taking a vitamin D supplement, too.

2. Cleanse your hair gently and only when necessary.

3. Condition and nourish your hair with plant-based oils and extracts at least once a week to protect the hair follicles.

4. Avoid wearing tight ponytails and hair styles in which the hair shaft is tugged or treated roughly.

5. Trim the ends of your hair on a regular basis. Even snipping off a quarter of an inch every few months will get rid of any split ends, which, if left alone, will continue to split even further up the hair shaft.

6. Allow your hair to air dry instead of applying harsh heat.

7. Avoid an excessive use of hot styling tools such as curlers, flat irons, and crimpers.

8. Remember, it is normal for the average healthy person to shed up to 150 hairs per day.
